A compendium of unusual occurences, or notabilia, in cricket matches during the period 1730 to 1901, presented in chronological order. For example, from 1838: "Sussex (with F. Pilch) v. England, at Brighton, August 27th, 28th and 29th. J. Napper, for Sussex, was at the wicket two hours in his second innings for but 7 runs".

Small 8vo. viii + 126pp (interleaved). Original green pictorial cloth, gilt title to spine and upper board. Ex-libris Anthony Woodhouse, bookplate. A previous owner has affixed a neat pocket to the inside f/c which contains newspaper cuttings of other 'curiosities', mainly from the 1920s. A very good copy. Scarce. No.68 of a Limited Edition of 100 copies, signed by the author.  [Padwick, 99]
