Edited by Charles Alcock. Fourteenth year of issue, covering the 1884 season. Known as the "Red Lilly", this annual was the last of three annuals published by the Lillywhites, the others being the Companion and the Guide. The Annual ran for 29 editions between 1872 and 1900, with two issues of 1872. From 1886 onwards the Annual incorporated John Lillywhite's Cricketer's Companion.

Small 8vo. [xx] + 276pp + [2] + 2-20 + [1]. Plate of Notts XI of 1884 tipped in. Original red printed cloth covers, generally soiled and faded with some small stains. Rubbed, particularly a spine. Ownership signature in ink to head of front cover, year to top of spine. Front gutter opening. Small section cut from head of the 8/9th front advert page. A good copy. [Padwick, 1087]
