Beautiful handwritten and illustrated account of the 1913 season for the Dunn's Cricket Club, a works team, possibly of an upholstery firm from Queens Street, Ramsgate in Kent. Opponents during the season, which kicked off with an intra-team match between the married and single players, included Broadstairs, Snowdown Colliery, West Cliff, Birchington and what seems to be a funeral directors called Blackburns.
Small 8vo. 28 pages, including one printed page showing player averages. 3 pages of handwritten match reports, 15 pages of match results, one of season averages and the remainder some beautifully realised hand-drawn cartoons of various players in action. Frontispiece. A rare 1st person account of the cricketing world of the pre-war years and a beautiful object. Pages lightly browned but clean. Maroon paper covered boards lightly rubbed with pasted on hand illustrated cover. Overall very good indeed.
