ENGLAND 1928-29

Original black and white photograph of the S.S. "Otranto", with handwritten title 'MCC Team Australian Tour 1928-1929'. England won the Test series 4-1. Signed in ink by the full touring party including SJ Staples, who returned home after falling ill. The other players are JC White, APF Chapman, G Geary, DR Jardine, H Sutcliffe, G Duckworth, JB Hobbs, M Leyland, GE Tyldesley, M Tate, WR Hammond, LEG Ames, AP Freeman, H Larwood, EH Hendren and P Mead.

Overall size 26 x 31cm. Photograph laid down to mount.  Framed and glazed. Very good.
