GENTLEMEN V PLAYERS 1926

Oval, July 7 - 9, 1926. Players won by 7 wickets. Geary with 5 for 42 in the first innings and Parker, with 4 for 29 in the second, twice destroyed the Gentlemen. The opening partnership of Hobbs and Sandham (129) gave the Players a fair lead, despite a remarkable collapse to Stevens (5 for 62), and they cruised to victory.
