Italian language tour diary of the Italian National football team in the years 1926-1927. In 1926 the Italian football side started to move away from amateur status, though not truly professionals they were now eligible to apply for refunds of income lost due to playing football. In 1927 the team won the first Central European International Cup. Includes team and action photographs and pencil and coloured illustrations of matches and events on tour.

1st edition. 8vo. 282pp. plus black and white photographs and colour and black and white pencil illustrations. Text in Italian. Internally very good condition, leaves a little browned and a few pages a little grubby. Small previous owner's ink inscription and bookseller's stamp to title page. Bookseller's binding of half maroon leatherette with maroon cloth back and gilt titles to spine. A little rubbed and bumped and internal front hinge cracked but tight, else very good. A scarce title about an interesting period in Italian football.
