In the late 1920's Norman Loudon, who later went on to found Shepperton Film Studios, was experimenting with high speed photography, producing flicker books which he thought could prove an invaluable aid to sportsmen looking to improve their technique by observing the top players in each field in great detail at each stage of their actions.
1st edition. 2x3" 100pp. plus 2 pages of publisher's list to rear. This volume is number 12 of the 'Flicker: Teach the Game - First series' depicting Cyril Tolley demonstrating the Drive and Iron shots. Internally very good, clean and bright, In the original light orange card covers, very lightly rubbed, but overall remarkably well preserved, with little sign of having been 'flicked' often.
