The famous Cumbrian school was founded by Roger Lupton in 1525 while he was Provost of Eton. This vintage peak-less school rugby cap in the traditional Sedbergh brown with gold braid tassles is embroidered in gold thread S.S.F.C. 1927 ~ 1928 and 1928~ 1929.
The braid a little tarnished and some of the embroidery a little rubbed. The internal lining is rubbed in places but otherwise this unusual item is in very good condition.
