Presented by Jack Kramer, this tournament had total prize-money of £10,000, a huge amount in 1955. It pitted eight of the world's greatest players against each other: Lew Hoad, Rex Hartwig, Pancho Gonzales, Ken Rosewall, Tony Trabert, Frank Sedgman, Jack Kramer and Pancho Segura. It was held in Adelaide, South Australia.
