19th century instructional book on fencing, written in French, with prefaces by D. Cloutier and Max Doumic. The text is split into two sections, the first on "l'escrime actuelle", the second dealing with "l'étude de l'escrime pratique".

First Edition. Tall 8vo. 147pp + [2]. 15 full-page plates, 1 text illustrations. Rebound in red boards, paper title label to spine, new black end-papers. Scattered foxing throughout, quite heavy in a few places, certainly to the roughcut pages edges, also some marginal staining.
