F.S. Ashley-Cooper (1877-1932) is widely held to be the greatest authority on the history of cricket. He wrote, joint wrote or edited some 103 books and pamphlets on cricket. His collection of books and pictures – some 4,000 in number – was unrivalled at the time of his death. Not long after, under the guidance of fellow collector A.W. Shelton, it was acquired by the soft furnishings magnate, Sir Julien Cahn. Weston's bibliography is, by his own admission, probably incomplete. Notwithstanding, it is the fullest record we have of Ashley-Cooper's work.

Small 8vo. [19]pp, interleaved. Portrait plate (of Ashley-Cooper). Original grey paper-covered boards, title in blue lettering to upper board. A fine copy. No.4 of a Limited Edition of 100 copies, signed by the author. [Padwick, 42]
