M.C.C. AND GROUND V AUSTRALIANS 1884 CRICKET SCORECARD

Lord's, May 22-23, 1884. The MCC scored an enormous 481 in the first innings, with centuries for WG Grace, AG Steel and W Barnes, and won the match comfortably by an innings and 15 runs. This is an original scorecard from the match with a contemporary Press cutting showing the full scores pasted down to the front. There are some further Press cuttings to the reverse, one of which relates to the match.

15 x 11cm. Small area of tape to one corner and two bottom corners have been trimmed. Despite this the card is still a very interesting and collectable item.
