Menu and guest list for a luncheon held by Sir Charles Cheers Wakefield at the Connaught Rooms on April 23, 1929, in honour of the achievements of Major H.O.D. Segrave. Segrave had recently broken the World's Maximum Speed Record On Land and won the Motor Boat Championship Of The World Trophy. Included is a description of Segrave's feats, images of "Miss England" and "The Golden Arrow" and a loosely inserted description of the Sir Charles Wakefield Trophy for Maximium Speed. Monochrome sketch by Fred Roe to front cover.

25 x 19cm. 18pp. Original ribbon in tact. Some light marks to cover, but internally very clean.
