Small photograph of Desjardins diving. Signed to the front in ink and dedicated "To Jean, The Coming Olympic Champion - I wish you every success. Pete Desjardins". This was dedicated to Jean Gilbert, a 14 year old diving prodigy who was trained by Desjardins and was the first athlete to reperesent Great Britain from the Channel Islands - she came 8th in the 1936 Olympics. Desjardins won two gold medals at the 1928 Olympic Games.

10.5 x 8cm. Light crease but otherwise in very good condition.
