TELEGRAM FOR JIMMY MURPHY (MANCHESTER UNITED) 1958 - BEFORE FA CUP SEMI-FINAL

A telegram that was sent to Jimmy Murphy wishing him luck before the 1958 FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Fulham at Villa Park on March 22nd 1958. This was about 7 weeks after the Munich Air Crash and Murphy was the temporary manager while Sir Matt Busby recovered from his injuries. The message reads "Good luck Jimmy - Bob and Liz". United drew the match 2-2 but went on to win the replay 5-3.

12 x 18.5cm. Light folds but otherwise in very good condition.
