Recollections of Lord Charles Russell, the third son of the 6th Duke of Bedford, politician and amateur cricketer. There are sections on politics, social life, cricket and hunting. The cricket section includes four cricket recollections, including much of what was printed in the very rare "Some Recollections of Cricket" of 1879 (and reprinted in 1979). The essays are: "Round-Arm Recollections", "Lord's and Prince's", Bedfordshire Cricket" and "Grace Testimonial". Russell played for the MCC from 1833 to 1846. [Padwick 6763].
