Official programme for the Bolton v Stoke match on March 9 1946 in the sixth round of the FA Cup. Shortly before kick-off a section of the densely-packed crowd in the north west corner of the ground swayed uncontrollably, two crush barriers collapsed and many spectators fell forward on top of those in front of them. Under the pile of humanity, 33 people were killed and 500 injured.
Horizontal fold mark acoss the middle, a few dirty marks and light surface creases. An unusually good copy of this very significant, if tragic, programme.
