Menu card for a dinner held at New York Lodge, Bourne End, on August 1st, 1908. This was a congratulatory dinner to Lord Desborough (the President of the 1908 Olympic Games), the Joint Committee and the Victorious Competitors. The food was supplied by the Savoy Hotel. New York Lodge was owned by George Alfred Kessler, later a survivor of the sinking of the Lusitania and often known as the Champagne King - he was a successful New York wine merchant and was known for hosting lavish parties. It is not known who attended the dinner.

Two single folded card - one serving as the cover. 20 x 14cm. Lightly marked but still in good condition.
