SIGNED

Handwritten letter (over 3 sheets) from Kardar to his close friends in Guyana Mr and Mrs Raymon. Kardar stayed with the family during the 1957-58 Pakistan cricket tour of the West Indies and this humorous letter was written from Trinidad just two days before the start of his final Test match (March 24th 1958). In a post script to the letter Kardar hints that he may be able to pop back and see them on April 3rd - a telegram from Kardar with the message "Exciting idea accepted as no wings will swim watch seawall" is also included, and this seems to suggest that he couldn't make the trip. The telegram is is signed "Peacock"  which was the name that the family used for him.

Three sheets, all on Queen's Park Hotel, Port-of-Spain, headed notepaper. Light folds. Telegram lightly creased. Very good condition.
