Original Press photograph of the Argentinian swimmer Alberto Zorrilla standing alongside the Spanish Ambassador in Washington Juan Riano and Ricardo Aldao, the President of the Argentinian Football Association. Zorrilla won the Olympic gold medal in the 400m freestyle at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, thus becoming the first South American to win an Olympic swimming gold medal.

24 x 18cm. Press stamp and handwritten caption to reverse. Some very light creasing and marks to front. Good condition.
