Origial Press photograph showing the hand (and broken finger) of the Australian wicket-keeper Bert Oldfield. Oldfield broke his finger just before he left Australia for the 1930 Ashes cricket tour, and the photograph was used by the Press to highlight how, despite the injury,  he had lost none of his brilliance when stumping Frank Woolley first ball during the Test match at Trent Bridge.

20 x 14cm. Press caption stuck to reverse with a shorter caption to front. Pinholes to corners. Good condition.
