Original ink autograph of Charles Toppin, who played cricket for Cambridge University (blue 1885-7) and Worcestershire in pre-first-class years. This autograph came from a visitors book from the early 1890s at Heath House in Shropshire where many country house cricket matches were hosted (including against the MCC and Free Foresters). Toppin was the cricket master at Malvern College for many years, fostering many great cricketing talents. Two of his sons played for Worcestershire.
