A collection of typed reports covering a number of seasons of the Sunday morning football team that was founded by the sports writer and novelist Brian Glanville. Glanville played full-back for the team for many years, while other regular members included journalists, artists and students. John Moynihan, Hugh McIlvanney and Jeremy Isaacs all appear during these seasons, along with many other flamboyant characters. The reports cover the seasons 1957-58 to 1963-64 and include scores, scorers and a full team for each match. Opponents included the B.B.C., Old Etonians, Evening Standard, Real Sao Paolo, Royal Academy of Music, Reuters etc. The collection comes from the estate of Brian Glanville.
All sheets are typed and are a little taller than A4 (hence folded in half). They are held together with old paper clips and there is the occasional note (in Glanville's hand). Some short tears and creases to edges. Good condition.
