A detailed account of the origin and development of curling in Canada and the U.S.A. with a special focus on the Scottish curling team's tour of those two territories during the winter of 1902-03.

First Edition. Thick 8vo. xv + 788pp. Profusely illustrated with portrait plates and photographs in the text. Original mid-brown cloth boards, slightly soiled, corners, bumped, adorned by a moose's head on the front cover. Title in gilt lettering to the spine, some minor shelf wear to head and tail of spine. Contents clean and fresh with just some light and scattered spotting, top right corner of prelims creased. A good copy.
