Official MCC Christmas card sent by Compton to his agent Bagenal Harvey. Compton writes "P.S. Hope all is well, what a bloody fool I am. Denis". This undoubtedly refers to the hand injury that Compton sustained in the first Test, side-lining him for the next match.

Single folded card. 17 x 12cm. The card is a little creased with a small nick to top edge and a small area of surface loss from the removal of some old tape. Fair condition. From the collection of Bagenal Harvey, the high-profile agent who secured the Brylcreem contract for Compton.
