ENGLAND V KENT 1833 (CHISLEHURST) CRICKET BROADSIDE

A small broadside advertising a cricket match between an England XI and a Kent XI, played at Chislehurst on Monday August 12th, 1833. The England team, which was essentially a team raised by the MCC, included Fuller Pilch, Cobbett, Marsden and Lord Russell. The Gentlemen of Kent XI could boast Alfred Mynn as well as Harenc, Fagge and two Jenners. Kent won the match by 8 wickets, which was completed in 2 days, with Mynn and Harenc doing all the bowling and much of the batting.

19.5 x 12.5cm. Central fold marks. One team correction in ink. Printed by E. Morgan of Portman Market. Very good condition.
