Small original Press photograph taken during Alec Bedser's benefit match between a Farnham XV and a Surrey XI, played at Farnham Park in 1953. The Surrey team included Alec Bedser, Eric Bedser, Laker, Lock, May, Surridge, Subba Row and Syd Barnes, the Australian Test cricketer who had made a promise back in 1946 that he would play in Bedser's benefit match. On the far right is Boris Karloff, who umpired the match.
