The official brochure for the inaugural Asian Games, held in New Delhi in 1951 which saw teams from Afghanistan, Burma, Ceylon, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand compete in athletics, swimming, football, weightlifting, cycling, basketball and water polo, with detailed and illustrated articles. Plus the programmes from the opening and closing ceremonies and the illustrated magazine commemorating the first anniversary of the National Sports Club of India.

Official souvenir 72pp. All items lightly worn but good copies. Includes a signed (unaddressed) Christmas card from Anthony de Mello, the senior Indian cricket administrator who also served as Director of Organisation for the Asian Games. Very rare.
