Potted history of boxing champions from James Figg in 1719 up until the author's acquaintance Jem Mace in 1890.

1st edition. Rebound in cloth boards with gilt title to spine. 8vo. 32pp. including illustrations and photos. Front cover and title-page are now loose from binding. Pages are very brittle - this is a common fault due to the quality of the paper and so not many survive. Fair/good condition.
