First Edition. 8vo. xiv +  + 440pp +  publisher's catalogue at the back. Portrait frontis. (Marquis of Breadalbane with hunting dog), engraved titlepage, 14 full-page engraved plates, numerous text illustrations, chapter head and tail-pieces, illuminated initials. Internally very good, clean and bright with minor foxing to prelims only. Red gilt embossed morocco spine, heavily rubbed with some small chips to foot of spine. Original illustrated paper covered boards also a little rubbed. Overall fair/good condition.
