An important record of the county's vibrant County Football Association, with much information on the formation of around twenty Lancashire clubs, including both Manchester teams, Everton, Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers, and Preston North End. Also carries full records of the Lancashire Cup, histories of the regional leagues and biographies of leading players and administrators. But perhaps it's most pleasing aspect is the fine array of team photographs including many rare images of such teams as Blackburn Cross Hill AFC, Earle FC, Westhoughton Colliery FC and Preston Winckley AFC. A facsimile reprint also exists.
