Original ticket for the fight between "Gentleman" Jim Corbett and "Sailor" Tom Sharkey, held at the Lenox Athletic Club on November 22nd, 1898. In a controversial fight Corbett was disqualified after his second, Jim McVey, climbed into the ring in the 9th round. The truth of what really happened (and why) is still open to conjecture.

7 x 10cm. Tear/section missing from right-hand edge of ticket. Framed and glazed. Despite the tear this still a good example of a very rare and historic boxing ticket.
