Twenty-fifth  year of issue, covering the 1895 season and England's 1894-95 tour of Australia under AE Stoddart, with an account and scorecards for all matches plus tour statistics. Known as the "Red Lilly", this annual was the last of three annuals published by the Lillywhites, the others being the Companion and the Guide. It lasted for 29 editions between 1872 and 1900, with two issues of 1872. From 1885 onwards the Annual incorporated John Lillywhite's Cricketer's Companion.

Paperback (cloth). Small 8vo. [xii] + 315pp + xxx + [3]. Original orange printed cloth covers, a little rubbed and stained. Plate of the Lancashire XI 1895 tipped-in. Vertical crack to front board, binding is loose in places with pages coming free. Two large worm holes (not recent) affecting tops of pages 100-190 - text only slightly affected. A poor copy, although looks good from the outside.
