JERKS IN FROM SHORT-LEG

An early humorous book on cricket, aimed at the members of the MCC, illustrated with line drawings throughout the text by W.H. Du Bellew. The author, was R.A. Fitzgerald writing under the pseudonym of "QUID", offers his weird and wacky view of cricket and its supporting cast.

First edition. Large 8vo. iii + 137pp + xi adverts. (including one for Wisdens and one for Lillywhites). Original blue decorative cloth, gilt illustration and titles, edges a little bumped with a few nicks. A good copy.
