Original photograph of John Cobb attending the Invergordon Highland Gathering on September 6th, 1952. He is in conversation with Jacko MacLeod, the local Highland MP, with their wives sitting nearby. Three weeks later Cobb died on Loch Ness while attempting to break the World Water Speed Record.

16 x 21cm. Handwritten caption beneath. Laid down to album page which is a little creased. Short closed tear to lower corner of photograph. Good condition.
