Maurice William Tate (1895-1956) was one of the best-loved of all cricketers and an idol to a generation of Sussex fans. Between 1912 and 1937 he took 2,784 wickets at an average of 18.12.

Small 8vo. 63pp. Portrait frontis., 3 pages of photographs. Dust-wrapper, with a chip to top edge of front cover. Good condition. Signed very nicely by Arlott to front endpaper (not dedicated).
