Headed notepaper (Essex CCC), signed by the full Middlesex team that played Essex on August 16-18, 1939. Middlesex won by 5 runs thanks to a remarkable 8-62 by JM Sims in the second innings. The players are Peebles, Price, Sims, Smith, Carris, Gray, Robertson, Edrich, Hart, Compton, Mann and Brown.
