Lord's, Aug 25 - 27, 1926. Middlesex won by 75 runs. A see-saw match in which Gloucestershire's spin attack filleted Middlesex before Allen's 7 for 30 kept the lead within bounds. Haig's not out century set a good target and Powell's 8 for 72 (his best analysis) ensured the visitors didn't reach it.
