Handwritten letter in ink on two sheets of headed notepaper from the Ministry of Labour Appointments Dept., dated May 13th 1919. Warner replies to a letter from the Surrey and England cricketer,  D.J. Knight. Warner proposes that Knight put himself forward to be master in charge of cricket at Harrow school. "If you would care for the job I would recommend you strongly."

17 x 20.5cm. Horizontal and vertical fold marks. Very good.
