Sam Doble died on September 17, 1977, aged 33. He played rugby for Moseley and England from 1965 to 1972. This is a tribute to his memory.

Paperback. 4to. 32pp incl. pictorial paper wrappers, rubbed to edges. Includes programme sheet for the Sam Doble memorial Fund match, played on November 27th 1977. Players involved included many well-known Home Nations internationals, such as Fenwick, JPR Williams, Bennett, Cotton, Beaumont, Irvine and Quinnell.
