Menu card for a Dinner in honour of the South African Team, held at the Grosvenor, Glasgow on November 17th, 1906. This followed the first ever match between Scotland and South Africa, which Scotland won 6-0. It was one of only two defeats inflicted on the tourists in a total of 28 matches.

14.5 x 9.5cm. Single folded card with gilt edges. Both teams named on back page. The spine has split. Lightly marked to covers, internally clean. A rare item, relating to an historic moment in Scottish and South African Rugby.
