Original colour lithograph by James Edward Rogers. This dates from 1872 and was published as a plate in the book "Present Pastimes of Merrie England", with text by Sir Francis Cowley Burnand and published in 1873 by Cassell, Petter & Galpin. Rogers (1838-96) was an Irish artist and illustrator and a friend of Rossetti and William Morris.

27 x 20cm. Very good condition.
