A 'Shilling Edition' of the 1858 work. The Tweed, Ettrick, Teviot and Whitadder are among the rivers 'commanded by The North British Railway' to feature in this guide to fishing in the Scottish Borders. There are also snippets of verse, remarks on Borders towns and, in the appendix, the amended Tweed Act of 1857. The author is anonymous, but has been identified as Bertram who appears in Westwood and Satchell as the author of 'The Harvest of The Sea' (1865).
