Postcard from the 'Motto Series', this example warning against the perils of racetrack gambling: "My son, if you don't want to get yourself did never play the game of the didders'. Designed by the noted illustrator David Broadfoot Carter (1880-1940), who studied at the Glasgow School of Art in its heyday.
