A history of Harlequins Rugby Football Club.
8vo. 253pp. Dust-wrapper, price-clipped. Good condition. Limited edition #28. This copy was purchased by J.H. Hindmarsh, who was closely associated with the club for most of his life. Hindmarsh has written a lengthy inscription to the fly-leaf to "John" who we have now identified as John Brett, the Oxford University prop who was selected for the 1936 British Lions tour of Argentina. Hindmarsh mentions Brett's accompishments but also confirms that he himself was on the playing staff at Quins for a season in the 1930s and played once for the 1st XV at Twickenham.
