The author was Kent's greatest ever cricketer who also played with enormous distinction for England during the period 1909 to 1934. Foreword by W.H. Patterson, who also played for Kent (1880-1900).

First Edition.  223pp. Portrait frontispiece of the author. Original red cloth, lightly rubbed. Contained in the original plain dust-wrapper with title to front and spine. Some stains and repairs to spine, but still in good condition. This is a variant on the first edition, with fewer illustrations and no adverts at the back. A good copy.
