Novel by Dudley Carew who had reported on cricket for The Times and had written, amongst many others, a number of cricket novels. This one has a brief mention of a cricket match. This is the very rare first edition, published the year before the US edition.

First edition. 8vo. 159pp. Dust-wrapper, lightly rubbed with black paint mark to lower left corner of front cover. A good copy of a rare book.
