A history of the US Open Golf Championships.

8vo. 224pp. Dust-wrapper, lightly rubbed. Some minor foxing to page edges. Good condition. Signed to the front and back endpapers and to relevant places within the text by around 58 famous golfers, all collected at the 1979 US Open at the Inverness Club, Toledo.  The autographs include 8 US Open Champions - Miller, Nicklaus, Trevino, Palmer, Zoeller, Green, Kite and Irwin (who won the 1979 event). Also signed by Greg Norman, Seve Ballesteros, Fred Couples (in his first major), Faldo, Langer, Crenshaw, Beck, Thorpe, Simons, Valentine, Armstrong, Burke, Clampett, Bean, Rentz, Fought, Simpson, Knox, Wood, Sutton, Weibring, Tway, Heafner, Dunaway, Murphy, McGough and Lindy Miller. There are a quite a number still unidentified. Comes with a ticket to the grounds and clubhouse for the 1st Tournament Day of the 1979 Championship.
