Original Press photograph showing John Beck, the non-playing captain of the British & Irish team, receiving the Walker Cup from Colonel Skene of Pitlour. Beck's team won the match 7.5 to 4.5 at St. Andrews and so won the Cup for the very first time (in its tenth year). They didn't win it again until 1971.

21 x 25cm. Press caption stuck to reverse. Mild discoloration to lower edge and a few small creases to edges, not affecting main image. Good condition.
