Real photographic postcard. Postally unused. Titled "T.E Hammond, Blackheath Harriers & Surrey Walking Club". Tommy Hammond competed in the 10 mile walk at the 1908 Olympics, but he is best known for his great feats of long-distance walking. He is still regarded as one of the greatest of all time and his record of walking 131 miles in 24 hours, achieved in 1908, was not bettered until 1950. Very good condition.

Signed and dated by Hammond in ink to the front. RARE.
